Bruin Bucks FAQ

What are “Bruin Bucks”?

Bruin Bucks are additional dollars added to a student's account that will carry over from semester to semester. Students may use their Bruin Bucks with their Belmont University student ID card. It works much like a "check card." Bruin Bucks are separate from the dining points that come with the meal plan.

Where can Bruin Bucks be used?

Bruin Bucks can be redeemed at nine food service locations on campus. These include a full coffee shop Bruin Grounds, located in the Bunch Library, two convenience stores (The Corner Court and What's Bruin), two quick-service restaurants in the Curb Café (Bruiser's & Chick-fil-a), Sandella's Flatbread Cafe, We Proudly Serve Starbucks, McAlister's Deli, and our all-you-care- to-eat Dining Hall in the Johnson Center Dining Hall.

How and when do we sign-up for Meal Plans and/or Bruin Bucks?

During the orientation process and before each semester, students and parents will have the opportunity to choose the plans that best fits their needs. For your convenience, you can sign up online through your myBelmont account. To add more Bruin Bucks during the semester, students should contact the Belmont Central at (615) 460-5402.  To officially sign up for housing and a meal plan you must log in to your myBelmont account, and make your selection. To request a meal plan change after the drop/ add date in the fall semester you must fill out a meal plan exemption form found on the Residence Life page.

Where can I use the "meals" from the meal plan?

Meal plans may be used in the full service Dining Hall. The Dining Hall provides a wide range of offerings including traditional foods, Exhibition cooking, pizza, grilled items, a full salad bar and fabulous desserts. The meal week starts Friday morning at breakfast, and runs through Thursday night at dinner.

Why should I consider more Bruin Bucks?

More Bruin Bucks can take care of those mid-semester calls home for more money. Having Bruin Bucks will allow students to have money for food, snacks, and sundries with parental assurances that this money can only be used for those things. Additionally, with Bruin Bucks, you have the security of not having to carry cash or credit cards.
