Frequently Asked Questions
What is Meal Equivalency?
Meal equivalencies offer flexibility in your meal plan by allowing you to use a meal swipe as a dollar amount at select campus locations. You can use one meal equivalency per day for up to $8 at Bruin Bites, Chick-fil-A, Corner Court, Einstein Bros Bagels, and We Proudly Serve Starbucks. Simply inform the cashier that you would like to use your daily meal equivalency or select “Meal Exchange” as your method of payment in the BruinEats mobile app when placing mobile orders.
Meal equivalencies cannot be redeemed for cash and must be used in a single transaction. If your transaction total is less than $8, you will not receive a refund for the difference. If your total exceeds $8, you will be charged the remaining balance, which can be paid with a credit card, cash, Dining Dollars, or Bruin Bucks.
This program is designed to provide wholesome meal alternatives to Harrington Dining Hall while enhancing your overall dining experience on campus.
