Students with special dietary needs are expected to communicate their dietary restrictions and requirements to our Campus Dietitian, Julia Green. Food prepared and served in the Simple Servings station is free of the top eight food allergens (wheat/gluten, eggs, milk/dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, soy, and sesame). The Simple Servings station is located in Harrington Place Dining and is open during lunch (11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) and dinner (4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) every day.Click here for Belmont Dining's Allergen Policy.

The result of this initiative is an approach that focuses on transparency of ingredients, delicious food, satisfying portions and clarity in message so that you can make Mindful choices!
Mindful offerings meet stringent nutritional criteria based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Each meal part is limited in calories, has fewer than 30% of calories as fat, fewer than 10 % of calories as saturated fat, and is restricted in sodium, and cholesterol. Look for the Mindful icon to indulge in the healthy and delicious items offered at each meal.
One of the most popular stations in Harrington Place is our Grown station which has vegan entrée’s, soups, composed salads, and more for lunch and dinner. At each station, entrées are clearly marked with designated signage for Vegan and Vegetarian options. We strive to offer a variety of soup options, and salad bar condiments that create healthful and balanced meals. There are options always available and if you have any questions, please contact our Campus Dietitian, Julia Green.
Simple Servings is our new resident dining option, providing safe and appetizing food choices “ready to go” for our customers with food allergies, gluten intolerance, or those who prefer plain and simple foods. The Simple Servings station does not offer foods made with the FDA most-common allergens of peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, milk products, and eggs. All foods offered will be made without gluten-containing ingredients. Simple Servings staff members are carefully trained to avoid cross-contamination of their menu items. Separate equipment, storage areas, utensils and preparation areas minimize, but do not totally eliminate, the chances of gluten and allergens in our Simple Servings foods.
