Q1. WHAT IS MEAL EQUIVALENCY?

Meal equivalency provides flexibility by allowing you to use a meal swipe as a dollar amount to pay for up to one meal a day at designated retail locations on campus.


Q2. HOW DOES MEAL EQUIVALENCY WORK?

A student will use their student I.D. to swipe for a meal equivalency in designated retail locations to pay for their meal.


Q3. HOW MUCH MONEY AM I ALLOTTED TO SPEND FOR A MEAL EQUIVALENCY SWIPE?

You will have $8.00 to spend for each meal equivalency swipe.


Q4. HOW MANY TIMES DO I GET TO USE MY MEAL SWIPE?

You may use one meal swipe per day to use at designated retail locations on campus.


Q5. WHICH RETAIL LOCATIONS WILL ACCEPT MEAL EQUIVALENCY SWIPES?

There are currently five locations allotted to use meal equivalency, which include:

  • Bruin Bites
  • Chick-fil-A
  • Corner Court
  • Einstein Bros Bagels
  • We Proudly Serve Starbucks
 

Q6. WHAT IF I ONLY SPEND $6 OF THE $8 ALLOTTED FOR MY MEAL SWIPE?

Since the new meal equivalency program is intended to provide wholesome meal alternatives to Harrington Dining Hall, we encourage the full use of the $8 allotment. Transactions below $8 at the register will not be redeemed for cash, as all value must be used in a single transaction.


Q7. WHAT IF I SPEND MORE THAN THE $8 ALLOTTED FOR MY MEAL SWIPE?

The $8 amount will be deducted from your total and you will then be asked to pay the remaining amount with another form of payment such as a credit card, cash, Dining Dollars or Bruin Bucks.

This link utilizes Single Sign-On (SSO), prompting students to log in through MyBelmont. Once logged in, they will be automatically redirected to their eAccounts dashboard.

Students can also check their balance in the Transact eAccounts app. Download the Transact eAccounts app from your app store today.

  1. Click here to login to your MyBelmont account. 
  2. Select the green "Housing" icon (at the top of the MyBelmont homepage).
  3. Select "Meal Plans" (On the left).
  4. Select “Dining Plans” (On the left).
  5. Select "Semester" and your desired meal plan.
  6. Click "Add" to finalize the transaction.

Meal plan swipes can be used at Harrington Place Dining. Dining Dollars that come with a meal plan can be used at any of our on-campus retail dining locations (BruinBites, Chick-fil-A, Corner Court, Einstein Bros Bagels, Mesa Komal Cafe, Slim + Husky's, and Starbucks).

Dining Dollars are funds that are included with a meal plan and can be utilized at on-campus retail locations. Dining Dollars are eligible for rollover from the Fall semester to the Spring semester. To retain these funds, a meal plan for the Spring semester is required. Unused Dining Dollars expire at the end of the Spring semester and are not eligible for rollover.

Bruin Bucks are additional funds that can be added to your student account to enhance your meal plan. Bruin Bucks are dollar-for-dollar funds that can be utilized at any on-campus retail locations and at participating off-campus retail locations. Bruin Bucks can be added to your account at any time and in any increment. Bruin Bucks roll over to the next semester and never expire.

Bruin Bucks:

  • Dollar-for-Dollar funds that are added on a Belmont University ID Card. 
  • Bruin Bucks can be added at anytime in any increment. 
  • Bruin Bucks roll over to the next semester and do not expire. 
  • Bruin Bucks can be used to dine on campus and also at participating nearby restaurants. 
Dining Dollars:
  • Dollar-for-Dollar funds that are included with a campus meal plan.
